We are having a silent auction on some items that have been declared obsolete by the school board. The flag pole, 2 trough sinks from the boys and girls bathroom, and one John Deer 950 tractor. Anyone and everyone is welcome to bid on any or all items. All bids are silent and confidential. To bid you can either email Mr. Scribner with the item description and the highest price you are willing to pay for it at jscribner@capayschool.org, or write down the item description on a piece of paper along with your contact information and turn it into the office by 3:00pm, next Friday, January 14th.
The minimum bid on the John Deer 950 tractor starts at $4000, nothing lower. All other items have no minimum bid, happy bidding. If you have any questions please call the office at 530-865-1222
Good Afternoon, We will be holding our awards ceremony for the 1st trimester tomorrow, Friday Jan 7th, at 9:00 am. We are holding it in person in the cafeteria and invite you to join us. Because it will be in person we will break it into 3 small groups and they are as follows:
K-2 9:00-9:20 am
3-5 9:25- 9:45 am
6-8 9:50- 10:10 am
Basketball games this Friday are against Lake School and will be held at the Orland Recreation Center. The girls will play first, starting at 12:30, and the boys game will follow after theirs is over.
Please wear your mask appropriately to these indoor events and we look forward to seeing you there! Go Colts!
Lunch Menu for January 2022
Girls and boys basketball practice is cancelled for today, 12/16. However practices have been added for over the break and will be held at the Orland Recreation Department. Practice days and times are as follows:
Boys: Mon 12/20, Tues 12/21, Wed 12/22, from 8-10am & Mon 12/27 from 10-11am.
Girls: Mon 12/27, Tues 12/28, and Wed 12/29 from 9-10am.
There are possible scrimmages to be book, so look for that information to be sent out!

Happy Thursday, today and tomorrow are minimum days, with 1:00 pm dismissal time! They are also the last two days before Christmas break. Break is from Dec 20th - Dec 31st, may it be merry and relaxing and full of smiles!

Winter Spirit Week is next week, Dec 13th - 17th, and the dress up days are:
Monday- Wear Green and Red
Tuesday- Crazy Christmas Socks
Wednesday - Ugly Sweaters
Thursday - Santa Hats
Friday - PJ day.
Santa's Secret Workshop is Friday, Dec 17th, please look for your students envelope and turn it back into the school as soon as possible.
Today, 12/10, is the last day to sign your Capay household up for a visit from Santa, call the office to do so at 530.865.1222.
Little League sign ups are open for both Hamilton Little League (https://www.hamiltoncapay.org/) and Orland Little League (https://www.orlandlittleleague.org/orlandlittleleagueca). Get your kiddos signed now so they can play ball!
*No bus service this Friday afternoon, Dec 10th.
*Capay is hosting a winter dance this Friday, Dec 10th, from 6-9pm. The 6th-8th graders are invited with a 5$ admission fee.
*Basketball will be at Los Molinos High School, this Friday @ 12:30pm.
*Next Friday, Dec 17th, Colt Club will be closed. There will be no Colt Club next Friday, please plan accordingly.

Happy Friday Capay Colt families! We want to personally invite you to this years Orland Craft Fair, Sat Nov 27th and Sun Nov 28th. Our famous potato bar will be serving hot and ready giant potatoes by your very own 8th grade students. The profit goes toward their 8th grade trip.
Calendar Change! Please see the Capay schools web site for the current calendar and download the App if you haven't done so already. There is school this Monday the 22nd of November and our minimum days are next moth in December! They are 12/8, 12/9, 12/10, 12/16, 12/17, dismissal time is always 1:00pm on a minimum day! https://www.capayschool.org
