Thank you to all who participated in the board meeting last night. I know we were all appreciative to hear everyone's comments and perspectives on this challenging situation. I also wanted to thank those of you who were not able to attend in person but sent emails or texts or phoned me to share your thoughts.
I was asked to share any supporting information regarding the vaccine mandate. The primary source of information is contained in the document Governor Newsom published on October 1st(Governor's Document). There has been much analysis and speculation based on this document, so be cautious of other information you may find related to the vaccine mandate.
I also wanted to let you know that the Vaccine Mandate Survey that was referred to at the meeting will go out Monday. The results of this survey will be discussed at the next board meeting on Dec. 2. Because only 15% of our students were represented at last night's meeting, it is important that you take the time to complete the survey so everyone's comments and perspectives can be considered as we move forward together; to continue giving our students a high quality education.
