Thank you all for a fantastic start to the school year! We are still adjusting to our new campus, each day gets a little smoother, and everyone is falling into a positive, productive routine. I want to thank those of you who have reached out with your questions, comments, concerns and support. Your input helps me better be able to meet the needs of our students! I want to clarify some information regarding the Governor’s recent announcement that all California students and school staff will be required to be vaccinated against Covid-19 as soon as January 2022. Because the mandate comes from the governor, and not the Legislature, it allows exemptions for medical, religious or personal reasons.
What does this mean for Capay students? It means that at least until January and we hope for the remainder of this school year, all students are welcome to attend in person regardless of their vaccination status. We care about all the Capay students and families and our goal continues to be that we offer a safe, caring, positive learning environment where all students thrive and reach their highest potential.
